About Me

Debbie DeCosta -

My husband retired early, so we moved to North Carolina with my parents. This is the first time in our life where we picked the place to live - this beautiful state is now our home. Traveling all over in the Air Force, I grew up in a family of collectors, artist and crafters in one form or another. For me, I started with drawing, ceramics, painting, sculpting, and with the dawn of computers, writing and graphic arts. As a collector, I have always loved semiprecious gemstones and crystals, and began with rock collecting when I was younger, and then, when older, collecting Zuni hand-carved animal fetishes. Today, my knowledge and love of stones has come full circle to inspire me in jewelry-making. A wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, I managed to find the time to set off on this new venture - handcrafted jewelry.
